The AusRFS holds a rat and mouse show every second month (for dates, see our Social Calendar). Our shows are a friendly way to enjoy the love of your pet rats and mice, while competing in the show for title of Grand Champion Rat or Mouse.

Shows are held at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Trumper St and Victoria Rd, Ermington (see map).

The hall opens at 9.30am and the show proper begins at 10.30am. Shows generally go through to 3-4pm, depending how many entries we get. You are welcome to bring nibblies (chips, biscuits, sandwiches, fruit, etc) to contribute to our informal lunch.

There is a formal element to the show, with rats and mice being put up for judging as classes are called throughout the day. However, we also strive to make the show a highly social and enjoyable day, where rat and mouse lovers can get together and "talk rodent", buy and sell animals, and catch up on the latest rat and mouse news. The regular showers include men, women and children of all ages and walks of life - everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. If you are interested in coming along, we recommend you join the forums and get to know other show-goers.

Show fees are $2.50 per entry for non-members, with a cap of $30, or $1.50 per entry for members, with a cap of $20. Show tank hire is $1 per tank.
